Q
For crooked or gapped front teeth, should I choose veneers or orthodontics?
A
If the position of the teeth and the bite need to change, orthodontics is considered; if the main goal is to change the shape or color of the teeth, laminate veneers can be considered. Orthodontics moves the teeth, while laminate veneers adjust shape and color by bonding a thin restoration to the front surface of the teeth. We assess the degree of crowding or protrusion, the bite, and the amount of tooth reduction required, and in some cases both treatments are combined.
